This is an excellent piece of work! The concept of learning not from failure but from success, reminds me of a statement made by a man for whom I have the highest respect, Dr. David Oyedepo. “Experience is not the best teacher” he said, “what if you don’t survive the experience?” This was clearly the case for a good portion of the titanic’s crew. I’m certain that given another opportunity, Captain Smith would never again have lost a ship to icebergs, but he wasn’t afforded that luxury. This post piqued my interest and left me with many questions! I hope to see them all answered!

True, like I said earlier, I was stunned by their arrogance

"unsinkable" they said

And I started wondering how many of such arrogance is displayed today?

...mostly at the cost of human lives

This will be an interesting converse

This is an excellent piece. I agree the zero-failure mindset is really important for the reasons you have mentioned. I also agree also with Ayomide's point (in the comments section) about the inevitability of mistakes happening - so faith is such a must-have. A zero-failure mindset needs to come with a post-failure recovery strategy. People who have a zero-failure mindset can sometimes find it hard to recover from failure especially if the incident is devastating. Faith again comes to the fore as the foundational stone for the zero-failure mindset. So faith is the parent process with zero-failure + post-failure recovery as the child-processes

Wow...This is a fantastic piece of writing. But what about the concept of Faith in all of this? That is you affirming God's presence and approval in a journey even though not all precautions are taken into place?

Moreover, even with a zero-failure Mindset, casualties may still be inevitable, especially with a proud mindset. The Just I believe should live by Faith and not just a "Zero-Failure mindset."

Please note that I am by no means trying to discredit the inspiration that produces this amazing writing, but to also a more better way of viewing and understanding it. Thank you.

Ayomide,

Thank you for engaging — it show you read the whole thing 😁

Your observation is actually is the point of the post —

Why engage with the pride of success in the face of inevitable failure?

The Post-fall Man was Failure-prone —

Like the story of the titanic — its the impunity and recklessness for me.

"unsinkable"? but it sank.

So I'm making a case for Faith actually —

the humility of dependence,

the caution the says I shouldn't approach this casually but cautiously

— depending on the Factor that never fails.

Please stay tuned as the story unfolds in subsequent parts —

and my friend and brother @Sanfo Agyo also captures it quite well in his comments.
